My Somewhere
We all have to start somewhere, and this is mine. How absolutely amazing to create and share all of the memories, happenings and celebrations that take place within our circle. Our family is enveloped of many things. Dad works insane hours to support a family of seven with almost no complaints. Mom plays the role of the ultimate multi-task manager. Our two teenage girls perceive every event in life as some sort of trauma. The two little men in our house are capable of imagining and carrying out almost any kind of mischevious adventure. And our new wee little one has managed, for a while, to turn our house completely upside down! But through all the constant craziness, we are somehow still able to pull together, support one another, and love eachother through anything that's thrown our way. This is what love for seven is all about.
That is exactly what Lucas asked us to start calling him. If you haven't read my text under the boys picture(boys to men-or so we think), please refer to it now. Lucas thinks he is Indiana in every way possible. As this whole charade has been unraveling I was reminded that Lucas' pre-school teacher(Mr. Tim) had said, on the last day of school ,that Lucas was most likely to become Indian Jones. I am sure this was due mostly to the fact that Lucas has the energy, will power, and determination to do anything he possibly desires. Those of you that know Lucas, know that he has overcome many challenges that have presented themselves. Nothing is impossible to him. I hope he will always remember that, long after this little phase has worn off.
This hat made it possible for him to play in the rain with no worries whatsoever. It was Steve's hat that he used for scout camp when he was younger. I came across it in the storage room and left it out on the stair, knowing Lucas would swoop it up.
He did and has been wearing it all day!
Ah Ha! He took it off for a split second. Just long enough to scratch an itch!
No, I didn't ask him to pose for this. He was actaully looking down, picking at his knee. Lucky me!

Lucas is an awesome Indiana. He plays the part extemely well! Those pictures are adorable and priceless. I have a hat that Lucas would love that I got during my phase where I thought I could be a cowgirl.. who knows
