We all have to start somewhere, and this is mine. How absolutely amazing to create and share all of the memories, happenings and celebrations that take place within our circle. Our family is enveloped of many things. Dad works insane hours to support a family of seven with almost no complaints. Mom plays the role of the ultimate multi-task manager. Our two teenage girls perceive every event in life as some sort of trauma. The two little men in our house are capable of imagining and carrying out almost any kind of mischevious adventure. And our new wee little one has managed, for a while, to turn our house completely upside down! But through all the constant craziness, we are somehow still able to pull together, support one another, and love eachother through anything that's thrown our way. This is what love for seven is all about.

A BIG BOY NEEDS A BIG BIKE

So, the other day Isaac was grounded from friends because he was not being very nice to Lucas. I had the two of them spend the whole next day with just eachother. Isaac came running in the house saying "Mom, Mom, I taught Lucas how to ride my big bike!" Isaac was so proud(I'm not sure if it was because Lucas was actually riding the bigger bike, or becasue he was the one that taught him). Needless to say, Lucas wanted nothing to do with his little bike anymore. He liked Isaac's because it was much faster(he didn't have to peddle so much), and it had a handle brake. So, I planted the seed in his head that maybe he could ask Dad if he could do some jobs to earn his own bike. He asked Dad, and Dad said yes. Lucas' birthday and Christmas is far away, so Steve wanted him to do some work rather than just be handed a bike. Lucas was waiting for Steve when he got home, and was all ready to dive into some yard work. Those of you that know Lucas, know that he loves yard tools. Steve had him help him with the yard, he loved every minute of it. I think yard work is more of Lucas' idea of fun, so I don't know where the "work" came into play. Nevertheless, Lucas earned his new bike and loves it, especially the handle brake.
